Já na época o álbum foi criticado por apresentar uma sonoridade bem diferente. No entanto fez bastante sucesso, e a faixa "What I've Done" fez até parte da trilha sonora do filme Transformers.

O encarte vem em formato livreto, e não é tão grosso quanto o do álbum antecessor, mas ainda assim tem várias páginas. Ele traz as letras das canções e os créditos do álbum. As imagens são um atrativo a parte.
